Can I apply for funding?
We don’t use an open application process. We find the people we support by following questions, relationships and experiments developing around the work.

How do you find new people and organisations?
Through our network, the people we already support, public gatherings and conversations around the questions we’re exploring. We’re particularly interested in work that might otherwise sit outside established funding routes.

What do you fund?
We make two kinds of grants. What If? grants support early questions and experiments. Emergence grants support new organisations putting different ways of doing things into practice.

How much do you fund?
Our grants range from around £5,000 to £100,000, from small, flexible grants for early experiments to longer-term support for new organisations and ways of working.

Do you only fund registered charities?
No. We can support different kinds of organisations and collaborations, depending on the work and how it is structured. [Check against your legal grant-making powers.]
